Volleyball drills

  • Player stands with hoop near the net, can move a little but max 1 step.
  • Trainer stands on the backline with a row of players with the ball next to him.
  • Trainer throws the ball randomly into the field and the player puts it in the hoop.
  • Make it more and more difficult.
  • Three defenders in the field
  • One person who catches
  • Rest: serve
  • Strikes follow each other quickly
  • Each person in the field must make 5 perfect receptions to the receiver.
  • Catcher determines if the reception is good
  • When a defender has made 5 perfect receptions, he becomes a catcher and the catcher starts to serve
  • Make two teams.
  • Set up a two benches one person sits on the bench.
  • Other on the other side of the net who are going to serve to the person on the bench when the ball is caught 1 point and then switch persons.

block-timing-and-defense-3

Blocker must look at the attacker

- C gives setup over the net to attacker 1
- Blocker 2 should look at the attacker when he has to block.
- 3 , 4 and 5 defend
- 1 gets his own ball and 6 is the next attacker.
- after 5 changes

Variation: 2 block

Batting with a fixed distributor, we pay attention to our run-up.

attacking-and-scoring-1

The attackers get the assignment to score directly with their attack. The defence of course gets the assignment to prevent this.

The game is played with a fixed distributor. A number of attackers stand at one side of the playing field with a ball. They play the ball to the distributor, who gives a setup for the attacker to attack.

If the attacker scores, he goes back to the back of the line of attackers (as a reward). If the attacker does not score, he must defend. For that purpose, the following sequence is used: Attacker - A - B - C - D - Attacker.

At the defense A is the blocker.

Discuss clearly in advance what immediate scoring means: ball on the ground or also if there is no playable defense.

Required:

  • fixed playmaker s
  • row of attackers with ball plays ball to sv
  • Set-up to attacker 1
  • If attack scores, to the back of the row of attackers.
  • Otherwise attacker 1 to A - B - C- D- attacker
  • In defence: A = blocker, BCD= at the back
