Soccer drills for technique warming-up

  • Players in a circle hold each other's arms. pilons in the middle, 
  • Try to move the other one against a pilon. 
  • Whoever hits a pilon gets a penalty point. 
  • At 5 penalty points there will be prints etc.
  • Pairs of two with ball, sitting opposite to each other on a mat
  • Person A holds ball above the head with both hands and goes to supine with arms stretched backwards tapping the ground with the ball
  • Person A goes to sitting position and hands the ball over to person B
  • Person B goes to supine and taps the ball backwards to the ground
  • etc.

This exercise can be used for each category in the warm-up.

  • Both players A lead the ball to the middle pilon where they perform a chop and then play the ball to the next player. 
  • After the pass, the player runs diagonally to player B who throws in the ball and players A heads it in the goal.
  • The player that performed the header then takes the ball and stands behind goal, 
  • The other player joins the group that has to perform the movement
  • Put two groups opposite to each other.
  • The player in front passes the ball to the front of the other group and sprints to the other group and join them at the back.
  • The person who receives the ball plays the ball back to the opposite group to the one who is then in front and joins them at the back.
  • This repeats itself constantly and with good overplaying and sprinting it is a very active exercise.
  • Dribbling through each other in a small area. Possibly followed by commands. (sitting on the ball, changing ball, ball dead under your foot)
  • two against each other, both have a ball. Dribble towards each other, chop and back again (vary which foot to tap).
  • Hang on! Pairs of two, one holds the other from behind to the waist and the front should try to move forward
  • On the back! One goes on the other's back and the runner has to run to the other side
  • Dribbling through each other in a small area. Possibly followed by commands. (sitting on the ball, changing ball, ball dead under the foot)
  • two against each other, both have a ball. Dribble towards each other, chop inside and back again (vary which foot to tap).
  • thigh tapping, pairs and one should tap the other on the thigh. The other must try and avoid to be tapped
  • Hang on! Pairs of two, one holds the other from behind to the waist and the front should try to move forward
  • On the back! One goes on the other's back and the runner has to run to the other side
  • Make two rows of players. Give the rows a colored jacket. 
    • For example blue and yellow.
  • Place the rows opposite each other at a distance of about three meters.
  • At about 5 meters behind the rows is a line made with hats.
  • On command yellow or blue, the colour concerned sprints to the line behind it and must tap the other colour.

  • Pairs of two
  • One player plays to the other, firmly over the ground.
  • The receiving player has to drag the ball underneath, which gives the ball a spinning effect and rolls it further.
  • The 4 groups start at the same time with one ball each
  • Group 1: 

    • A plays to B and takes the place of B. 

    • B controls the ball and dribbles to C, 

    • when he gets to C, he gives the ball to C, 

    • ...who's restarting the exercise. 

    • A runs towards and goes through the hoops,

Description:

  • Island Soccer: 2 teams that each have to keep their island free of bombs.
  • Getting the bombs as fast as possible on the island by quickly leading over the 3 footbridges (Goals)

Organisation

  • Field: ½ field (25x35m)

Duration: 

  • 10 min

Coaching:

  • Faster
  • Ball close to the foot

Fun:

  • Without a defender
  • With 1 guard on the island each (hands on the back)
  • 1 guard per team per island (i.e. 2 guards per side)



island-game

  • A field of 20x30 meters
  • 2 teams of equal number of players. if odd: with 1 chameleon (is in game with ball possession)
  • Players may play a maximum of 3 passes with the ball and must then throw the ball over to a team-mate with their hands.
  • in 15 continuous transfers by 1 party they have 1 point
  • at 5 points opponent has to perform 10 push-ups
  • 4 sessions of 5 min. Just let them play the first session, after the first session talk about the good moments but of course also address the lesser moments, think of coaching, getting into the ball, when throwing long ball. 3rd session with focus on positioning with the feet. before the 4th session, indicate where things are not going well yet.
  • You'll see that it's easier with the hands.
  • Pairs of two
  • two rows of hats / caps / ladders
  • between two pylons. On whistle sprint around the ladder
  • One player runs via ladder and the other throws the ball into the hands
  • One player runs through the ladder and the other throws the ball for a header
  • Short steps over the ladder, then zigzag through the pylons, there sprint to the end where there is a pylon.
  • Circle warming up: Circle around and sprint to the center.
  • Fun warm up, create pairs and then walk around while you push against each other 
  • Throw for thigh control and volley

  • ZigZag around your own pilons forward backward
